It is with great pleasure that we will welcome Professor David Henry to No 9 on the afternoon of 17 December 2014. He is a member of the Expert Panel of the Council of the Canadian Academies that is currently preparing a high-profile report on timely access to health and social data (and which is using SHIP and SAIL as examples of international best practise in data sharing and governance). David is Professor and senior advisor to the Dean, Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto, and Director, Institute of Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation. He is also executive co-lead of the Canadian Network for Observational Drug Effect Studies (CNODES), a distributed network of provincial data centres and investigators who perform large population-based drug safety analyses. David is also Senior Scientist in ICES (a not-for-profit research institute encompassing a community of research, data and clinical experts, and a secure and accessible array of Ontario’s health-related data).
